食(syoku) is meaning eating. 食べる(taberu) means eat.

This letter words are simple.

You can eat almost all things letters with 食.

Eating letter examples

飯(meshi) is rice

炒飯(cha han(in Japan) or chao fan(in original China)) is Chinese fried rice.  炒 means frying.

By the way, the dragon ball character Son Goku’s son, Son Gohan is same kanji.

His name is Gohan(悟飯). First letter is Comprehending, Second is rice. A lot of Dragon ball characters have food related names.

This is resemble, but it’s traditional sweet bean paste in East Asia.

晩餐(ban san) is supper or dinner.

晩(ban) means evening.

餐 has 食 part in below. These type combination is not so many.

飾(kazari) is accessory.

This isn’t food, but there is always exception.
