人(hito)means person or human. This letter’s part form transforms like イ from 人.

侍, this letter’s left part.  let’s get started,

At fast, the above letter 侍(samurai) means, yep ,samurai. Japanese warrior class.

位(kurai or i)… this means lever and class.

仕(shi)…it means serve something, 仕事(shi goto), these are serve and thing letters. it goes meaning working or job.

信(shin)…it means believing. only the right part means saying.

住(ju)…it means living and staying.

他人(ta nin)…left letter is other. right letter is human. this collocation means others or strangers.

私(watashi)…this means I or me, and private. but left is different part, there is another first person letter,

俺(ore )…Although this is same meaning with above letter, a first personal pronoun only used by man.

僕(boku)…is same, but especially used by boys.

Some examples,,,

作(saku)…make

似(ni)…resemble

仏陀(budda)、仏(hotoke)…buddha

債(sai)…bond

偽(nise)…fake

保(ho)…save

And 保険(hoken)…insurance

係(kakari)…role or charge

Some letters are felt relating human, but others not felt, like bond and fake so on.

Is buddha correctly human? it’s controversial thing..

But this feeling are common thing when people learn old letters, don’t think so deep 🙂

Thank you!
